Soraya Osorio refined her unique sense of design and structure at a young age. Working closely with her father, an industrial engineer, she mastered her knowledge of form, structure, balance and precision. Her expertise was further enriched at her mother’s interior design firm, where she developed a discerning eye for textile design, color, and clean lines.
In 1995, Osorio founded her own studio in New York to showcase her distinctive aesthetic. For nearly twenty years, she successfully partnered and collaborated with well-known designers and architects. Her extensive knowledge of metals is a vital resource to clients, and she is regarded industry-wide as the “secret source.” Osorio has forged retail and residential spaces in the United States and worldwide for luxury clients, including Takashimaya, Pierre Hardy, MR Architecture + Decor, J. Mendel Boutiques, and Aurélie Bidermann NYC.
In 2014, Osorio created an inaugural body of work entitled, Soraya Osorio Inspiration Collected, which distills the spirit of our surroundings, transforming complexity to simplicity, weight to fluidity, and color to radiance. Confident lines and curated hues are signature elements of her work, bringing past to present, while influencing the future of design.
