George Nakashima, Minguren II Low Table, USA, 1975
This outstanding black walnut table features a beautifully shaped top that preserves the integrity of the wood from which it is formed. Typical of Nakashima’s style, the form of the table carefully parallels the patterning of the wood’s grain. This table is a wonderful example of Nakashima’s craftsmanship and deference to form. The work is named after the group in Japan who produced Nakashima’s shows.
The table is accompanied by the original client’s receipt from George Nakashima’s New Hope, Pennsylvania studio and a letter of authenticity from the Nakashima Studio.
