Maison Charles, Pair Honeycomb Sconces, France, c. 1968
Maison Charles Pair Honeycomb Sconces – Todd Merrill
A pair of nickel-plated bronze sconces in the form of a large oval “honeycomb”. Light flows up and down through the tubes, creating a beautiful halo around the sconces and various light levels. Even while unlit, the sconces serve as exquisite wall sculptures. Handmade in France by Maison Charles in the late 1960s, they are in excellent condition.
