Paul Evans and Phillip Lloyd Powell, Studio Silver Fish Scale Screen, USA, c. 1960s

The screen is an original commission from long-time Evans/Powell Studio client Mrs. Berman who commissioned multiple pieces by Evans and Powell for her home. Accompanied with a letter of authentication signed by Dorsey Reading, Evans’ studio foreman. May be flat mounted or used as a freestanding screen. A similar example is documented on page 94 of Todd Merrill’s book, Modern Americana: Studio Furniture From High Craft to High Glam.
