Raymond Barger, Bronze Fountain Sculpture, USA, 1967

Raymond Granville Barger was a mid-century American sculptor who worked with various materials including metal, plastic, and bronze. His sculptures are dynamic works of art that enhance the architecture and landscapes that surround them.

This exquisite piece, made of strips of patinated bronze, is a sculpture that may also serve as a fountain.

Barger was educated at the Carnegie Institute of Technology and the School of Fine Art at Yale University, where he received a Winchester Fellowship. He also was the recipient of a special fellowship from the American Academy in Rome.
