The Yard Sale Project “Palombaggia” table challenges the traditional view of what a table should look like: it is asymmetrical and comprised of many types of hardwood, giving the surface a crisp patchwork quality with both light and dark colors. The table is made from an astonishing array of twenty-six hardwoods. The process by which the woods are combined has been uniquely developed and applied on a large scale by Yard Sale Project in the Cosican series. Yard Sale Project’s “Roccapina V” Chair is exhibited in “Against the Grain: Wood in Contemporary Art, Craft, and Design” at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, NY (March 19, 2013- September 15, 2013), Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale. Florida (October 12, 2013 – January 20, 2014), and the Bellevue Arts Museum, Washington (March 7, 2014 – June 30, 2014).
