Magnificent tufted sofa by Edward Wormley for Dunbar, model #5407, c.1950. Upholstered in original off white leather that has attained a beautiful patina through the years. Exceptionally comfortable, a great example of Wormley’s skill at reinterpreting classics through a modern vocabulary. On an ebonized mahogany base; originally on castors, base can be removed and replaced with castors. As seen in “Dunbar Fine Furniture of the 1950s” by Pina, page 22.
