Created in 1969 as a prototype, this carved chair in exaggerated classical style epitomizes Dickinson’s love of form and fantasy. Lending his love of the ancient world with 20th Century style. The chair is carved to resemble upholstery, with hints of ancient Egypt, China, and Greece, in its unique and sculptural design. Only two of these chairs were made. This prototype chair and its mate were too expensive to put into production, however the form was used as the prototype for the upholstered chairs he would produce on commission.
