A. Lee Adams Pair of Leather Tables – Todd Merrill
A beautiful pair of leather top tables with diamond motifs incised in gold on parchment leather. The bases in ebonized mahogany with cross-stretchers, all legs and stretchers. Designed by A. Lee Adams for his company Originals by Adlee which was based in New York in the 1940s-50s. Adams specialized in leather accented furniture and many of his models resemble Tommi Parzinger’s designs for Charak of the 1940s. The scan is from an ad for Adlee from the magazine ‘Interiors’ April 1948.
