A Rare Walnut Floating Bookcase and Bar on Console by Gio Ponti, Italy, circa 1950.

This bookcase, bar and console was designed by Gio Ponti and produced by Singer and Sons between 1950 and 1953 for the American market. The shelving unit can be mounted on the wall or sit on top of the console. The door of the bar flips down to reveal a lacquered interior with glass shelves. The console has three drawers and two shelves. This piece is accompanied by a letter of authentication by the Gio Ponti archives in Milan. It has been repolished.
