Low Table by George Nakashima in English Walnut, USA, c. 1970s. A wonderful example of Nakashima’s craftsmanship and deference to form. This low occaisonal or coffee table uses a single slender slab of Walnut with a deep serpentine grain. Typical of Nakashima the form of the bench carefully parrallels the grain patterning giving way to a large oval shaped knot at the wider end.  A single Rosewood Butterfly adorns the narrow end.
