An abstract sculptural welded steel table lamp by Paul Evans. USA, circa 1950s.  The lamp is composed of triangular steel planes all hand welded to form an abstract pyramidal shape. Some of the triangular planes have a braised brass or white polychrome finish and the lamp has an overall burnished patina. Random planes are pierced. This early example of Evans’ artistic desires predicts the important steel sculptural work of the 1960s.
