Hugh Acton Marble and Brass Coffee Table, 1950s, USA

A rectangular marble and brass coffee table with six feet. The stylish brass legs are slim and support a piece of white marble that is one inch thick. Perfect for use as a coffee or cocktail table. Acton holds an MFA from Cranbrook and is the recipient of numerous design awards, including Association of Business Designers Award (1957), the  Interior Design Award (1957), the Iron and Steel Award (1963). After graduating from Cranbrook, Acton worked at General Motors’ Technical Center where he developed his first furniture designs.
