Tommi Parzinger Three-Seat Sofa New York Circa 1946
Tommi Parzinger Three-Seat Sofa New York Circa 1946 – Todd Merrill
An early three seat sofa by Tommi Parzinger dating from the mid to late 1940s with bleached mahogany base. The sofa reupholstered in Nancy Corizine Pearl 100% silk velvet.
The whole sofa double boxed without welting with three attached back cushions upholstered exactly as it was originally designed. The seat has one long cushion in heavy down.
Rebuilt for maximum comfort. This sofa, made post-War, predates Parzinger Originals — although sofas in this style were later made by Parzinger Originals.
Construction details show that it was produced earlier with restrictions on mahogany; most likely a one-off for a private client right after WWII.
Dimensions: 8ft wide, 31″ deep, 29.5″ tall
