A set of eight possibly unique custom dining chairs from a house decorated by Billy Haines. They were the original chairs around an octogon table confirmed as an original Haines design. The chairs in cream lacquered hardwood have exquisit proportions and Chinoisere details combined with a naturalistic “tree branch” pierced back with fret-work details. Back legs splay gracefully back. front legs end in gentle curves. The proportions are classic Haines. An inspired and unusual design that combines several classic Haines elements. The trapazoid shaped chair seats in original cream gloss leather show wear. In over all good original condition.
