Exceptional set of six dining chairs by Vladimir Kagan, c.1955. Solid walnut  base with original terracotta colored leather upholstery. This set is an excellent example from Kagan’s oeuvre with his signature sculptural base. The 1950’s are considered  to be Kagan’s best decade, and designs produced under the Kagan-Dreyfus partnership are the most sought-after examples of his work. An identical set is documented in “The Complete Kagan” by V. Kagan, pg. 110.
