The Formations Side Table in deep grey agate is a sculptural exploration of material, surface, and illusion. Its tabletop resembling a frozen moment of melting icicles or stalactites captured in translucent resin.

The tabletop is cast in richly tinted deep grey agate resin, its polished surface revealing a dramatic, textured underside that appears to shift and recede with changes in light. This interplay between opacity and translucence creates a sense of depth and movement, transforming the tabletop into a vivid, almost topographic field. Subtle variations in tone and saturation heighten the impression of a surreal, mineral-rich landscape suspended in time.

The resin top is paired with salvaged steel tubing, carefully refurbished and finished to form a stable, architectural base. A precision-routed groove allows the tabletop to nest seamlessly into the steel structure, reinforcing the dialogue between organic form and industrial material.
