Part of Gareth Neal’s Cut and Groove Series, this sophisticated four-drawer Carved George Cabinet reinterprets a traditional English design for a contemporary audience. Neal combines modern technology and traditional woodworking techniques to create his unique contemporary interpretations of historic designs.

Featured in public and private collections worldwide, Neal has both literally and figuratively shaped a new era in design and craftsmanship. Currently, Neal is collaborating with Zaha Hadid on a line of innovative sculptures inspired by ancient vessels. Neal’s 5-Drawer George was part of the critically-acclaimed exhibition, “Against the Grain: Wood in Contemporary Art, Craft, and Design,” hosted by the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, NY; the Museum of Art in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and the Bellevue Arts Museum in Bellevue, Washington. His George III Chest resides in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. In 2016, Big George was exhibited at the distinguished Winter Antiques Show in New York, NY.
