Oversized Six Drawer Marble-Top Dresser by Grosfeld House in the manner of Syrie Maugham, USA, c. 1940s. A bleached mahogany marble-top console or dresser by Grosfeld House. This six drawer case piece features a serpentine bowed front with flaring cabriole legs ending in scrolled feet. The front is relief carved in large spiral patterns and bleached to perfection revealing the deep grain. The hardware is detailed cast bronze and the top consists of cream and pink breche marble cut to match the flairing shape of the case. Every aspect of this magnificent piece is custom made and successfully melds French 18th century elegance with crisp, 1940’s modernism.
