Corinthian Low table by James Mont
USA 1963 Round smoked-mirror top with gold metal leaf Chinoiserie fretwork carved apron mounted on an antique iron Corinthian capital base finished in gold metal leaf. The base of this table is reputed to be a “found” item from a bank building in New York City. Mont often incorporated antique items as decorative elements in his furniture. This table is shown placed in the furnished floor plan of the apartment as laid out by James Mont. Listed on Mont’s Contract Specifications provided by Mont to Mr. Orlowitz. New York, 1963
